Register for the 2025 Festival
Dragon boat is the ultimate team sport, welcoming all paddlers regardless of age or fitness level. Whether you want to get fit and exercise your competitive streak, or meet people and learn new skills, you're in the right place.
FESTIVAL INFORMATION

The Festival will take place on Saturday, September 6th, 2025. 8:00 am to 3:00 pm

T-shirts will be provided for each team member who registers and pays the entry fee no later than: Friday, August 1, 2025

Final Registration and payment deadline is: Friday, August 22, 2025

Food on site at Merwin's Wharf for pre-order - list will be emailed to coaches prior to festival

No Alcohol can be brought on site per regulations from Metroparks. There will be alcohol for sale on premises, however, racing participants will not be allowed to race if consuming alcohol

Please note that, in the event of inclement weather, other disasters or events beyond our control, sponsorships are nonrefundable

Let us know if you need hotel rooms. We are working with hotels for festival discounts!

The CDBA has secured a large parking lot for festival participants. Parking Passes are available for purchase online, pick up at Registration Table or when entering parking lot on Columbus Rd, across the street from festival site. Once payment is made, your name (Team name) will be on a list and checked accordingly to receive parking pass to be displayed in car windshield. Note: There will only be ADA parking available next to festival site. Per Metroparks request, there should not be any parking in front of Merwin's restaurant.
Mixed Divisions
Minimum of EIGHT FEMALE PADDLERS in the boat.
More females is OK. More than 12 men in the boat will result in a penalty.
Women's Division
All paddlers must be women. Any male paddlers on the boat will result in a penalty.
Open Division
No restrictions on the number of gender in the boat.
Youth Division
Breast / All Cancer Division
Note: No previous experience is required. Trainers will be available the day before the race to train your team. Dragon boats, paddles, and PFDs (personal floatation devices) will be supplied by the Cleveland Dragon Boat Association.
